![]() Had it been only one visit or one employee, I would have chalked it up to an isolated incident but during each of my 5 visits it occurred. Every day, there was at least 2 people who made it very clear that they didn’t want to be there. The frozen custard continues to be the best, but I admit I was a little disappointed in the grumpiness of counter personnel this time. It is busy no matter the time of day or year (Yes, frozen custard is still delicious during subzero temps) knowing which side to order from is imperative. If anyone in your party is ordering anything besides a scoop (sundae, shake, burger), you need to order from the counter on the RIGHT. If you’re ONLY ordering scoops, go to the LEFT counter. The flavors of the day are plainly posted above the LEFT counter or you can check their Flavor Forecast on their website. Every day, Kopps serves vanilla, chocolate and 1-2 flavors of the day. When I’m back in town, I stop to have the flavor of the day every day during my visit. I’ve never had a frozen custard or related shake, sundae, or concrete that didn’t satisfy. Serve these warm, with extra powdered sugar and strong coffee.Growing up in the area, this is my favorite frozen custard spot to return to. Be sure to have paper towels nearby too… as there’s sure to be a little mess! To make “dressing” the beignets an easy affair, place them in a paper bag – a few at a time – with a generous amount of sugar and shake for a few seconds. ![]()
